Activist Proposal for GERWC (revised)

I will try to acquire new members to join the Greater Evansville Runners/Walkers Club, with a realization of helping their overall health: Physically and mentally. This program offers helpful and fun ways to keep in shape. I have placed flyers, made by the official club at both the Physical Activity Center (PAC) and the Recreational Center (REC). I am also hoping to spread awareness throughout campus by going to the sporting events, speaking with coaches, faculty and students, alike. To try to new recruit members, to help open the GERWC to more of the community. So it can become more diverse with the different age groups. I would also try to inform more people about the club, it is not only just for the people who are already in shape but also for those who want to get into shape. So they can feel physically and mentally confident about themselves. Within this club there are many opportunities and they are done with free will, no one is forcing anything. My goal is to attract, inform, and invite college students, faculty, and all people of all ages, to join. With the best intentions for themselves. I am currently working on a poster, some pamphlets, and an essay to promote the Greater Evansville Runners/Walkers Club.

  1. The strengths of your proposal are noticeable with your ideas. You know what you are doing because I can tell you like to run so you know what you're talking about. But How are you getting involved with them? What ways of public literacy are you using? You should include how you and them are working together to help bring more people in.

  2. I think your proposal is good. I would agree with the other comment in that you should include what you are doing with the group. Also it would be nice to include how it has changed you. Are you going to just go down the street telling people they should join or are you going to make a flyer or something related?

  3. Thank you both for your comments. I forgot to mention what public discourse I have done and will do for the GERWC.
